Quid Pro Quo "Something for something." Something that is given in return for something else. Often used in cases of sexual harassment where promotions are offered in return for sexual favors.
Quitclaim Deed In a real estate transaction, a deed that transfers any title that the seller has or may have, but which does not offer any guarantee as to the validity of that title. Therefore, the seller has no liability if the title is defective or obstructed in any way. See "warranty deed."
