Joint and several liability The sharing of liability both individually and collectively, as in a negligence suit.
Joint Tenancy Joint possession of real property by two or more people memorialized in one written instrument, granting full rights of enjoyment of the property to all parties. Upon the death of one of the joint tenants, the property rights vest in the other joint tenant or tenants equally.
Joint tenancy Form of property ownership or occupancy in which two or more parties hold equal interests.
Joint tort-feasors Two or more individuals whose negligence results in joint and several liability for injury.
